Below are some common questions that we want to make sure we address on the front end.

Q: Wait, you can send ice cream through the mail? Won't it melt? Is it magic?

A: Yes! Through the magic of dry ice and some innovative packaging we can deliver ice cream to you - frozen and delicious. Each of our pint packs are packed in an EPS cooler with a separate package full of dry ice to keep your treats frozen until you can open them. There will be enough dry ice in the package to keep things frozen till the evening of your shipment arrival, but go ahead and place your pints in your freezer as soon as you are able to.

Q: Dry ice? Isn't that sort of dangerous?

A: Dry ice is very cold (-109.3 degrees Fahrenheit) and can burn you just like something very hot. So, to eliminate any tricky handling we've designed a special box just for the dry ice that will sit inside your cooler. Just pull that box out by the nifty handle, and set it in a well-ventilated area away from kids and pets - and not on top of your marble counter tops as it could cause a crack. It should sublimate in about a day.

Q: When and where do you ship?

A: For our ice cream to arrive frozen, it must arrive at its final destination within 2 days. Your shipping will be calculated at checkout and thankfully our hometown of Chattanooga, TN is a great location - we can reach a large portion of the US within that time frame using FedEx. Because of the 2-day requirements, we only ship out Monday-Wednesday to make sure that it gets there in time.

Our local delivery service operates on the schedule below. Orders must be placed by 5pm on the preceding day to guarantee delivery the next delivery day, i.e. orders for Signal Mountain must be placed by Monday at 5pm to be delivered on Tuesday. You're exact shipping options will show up

Q: Do I have to be home when the ice cream delivers?

A: No, you don't. FedEx will leave your package on your doorstep, and the dry ice will keep things cold until the evening of your delivery date.

Q: This sounds great, can I send this as a gift?

A: Yes! There's nothing more fun than opening up a package of our frozen treats. Ice cream makes a great gift for birthdays, corporate gifts, anniversaries, holidays or just to let someone know you care. You can include a customized message with your gift, just list that at checkout and you'll get a handwritten note in your package!

Also, if you've got a whole lot of gifts to send (technically 10 or more), then click the link here to our "Gifts" page here! We would love to help you out with that process!

Q: Do I have to send this as a gift?

A: No! In the words of Donna Meagle and Tom Haverford, "Treat Yo Self". Take the cool route and be the hit of your next potluck - bring a box of Clumpies Ice Cream.

Q: What do I do with this cooler afterwards?

A: We took time to design a package that would bring happiness to your doorstep when it delivers. The great thing is that you can keep reusing it and bring that happiness as you go. Our packages have a handy dandy handle that allows your box and cooler to make an excellent gameday/beach/picnic cooler. If you do need to throw it away check for available EPS recycling facilities near you.

Q: I have more questions that you didn't answer, what do I do?

A: Don't worry, we are here to help! Drop us a line through our contact page and we would love to answer questions or be helpful in any other way we can!
