FAQs

Below are some common questions that we want to make sure we address on the front end.

Q: How can you ship ice cream?

A: Through the magic of dry ice and some innovative packaging we can deliver ice cream to you - frozen and delicious. Each of our pint packs are packed in an EPS cooler with a separate package full of dry ice to keep your treats frozen until you can open them. There will be enough dry ice in the package to keep things frozen till the evening of your shipment arrival, but go ahead and place your pints in your freezer as soon as you are able to. See our Shipping Policy for more details on shipping.

Q: When and where do you ship?

A: For our ice cream to arrive frozen, it must arrive at its final destination within 2 days. Your shipping will be calculated at checkout and thankfully our hometown of Chattanooga, TN is a great location - we can reach a large portion of the continental US within that time frame. Because of the 2-day requirements, we only ship out Monday-Wednesday to make sure that it gets there in time.

Our local delivery service operates on the schedule below for local Chattanooga recipients. Orders must be placed by 5pm on the preceding day to guarantee delivery the next delivery day, i.e. orders for Signal Mountain must be placed by Monday at 5pm to be delivered on Tuesday.

Q: Do I have to be home when the ice cream delivers?

A: No, you don't. You package will be left on your doorstep, and the dry ice will keep things cold until the evening of your delivery date.

Q: Can I send this as a gift?

A: Yes! There's nothing more fun than opening up a package of our frozen treats. Ice cream makes a great gift for birthdays, corporate gifts, anniversaries, holidays or just to let someone know you care. You can include a customized message with your gift, just list that at checkout and you'll get a handwritten note in your package!

Also, if you've got a whole lot of gifts to send (technically 10 or more), then click the link to our "Gifts" page here! We would love to help you out with that process!

Q: How do you handle allergen cross contamination?

A: Please know, our ice cream is produced in a kitchen that also makes products containing milk, eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, soy and wheat.

Production:

We disassemble and wash our batch freezer daily, reassemble each morning and santize before we start production. We plan our production each day in a way to avoid cross contamination, starting with the least amount of allergens to the msot.

Example:
Sweet Cream: Milk, Eggs
French Silk: Milk, Eggs, Soy
Cookies & Cream: Milk, Eggs, Soy, Wheat

Scoop Shops:

Let the partner working know that you have an allergy and they will follow this process:

Grab a freshly washed scoop to avoid contamination and a new tub of ice cream that hasn't been scooped out of and proceed to serve you.

If you have any questions on ice cream flavors and allergens, a partner can show you our flavor sheets with flavor details, full ingredient labels, and a contains statement.

Q: I have more questions that you didn't answer, what do I do?

A: Don't worry, we are here to help! Drop us a line through our contact page and we would love to answer questions or be helpful in any other way we can!
